Who we are..
M2 Furniture Company was founded in 2018 with a simple belief: furniture should be built to last — and built with care.
What started as a small local shop has grown into a full-scale furniture company with a talented team of designers and craftsmen.
We design and build every piece right here in Laurens, South Carolina, combining timeless craftsmanship with modern precision tools. From dining tables to mantles and kitchen islands, every project reflects our commitment to quality, durability, and design.
We have a strong passion for Nature and the natural beauty of wood and the amazing things that we can turn it into with a little bit of imagination.
With our own In-house Sawmill and Kiln Drying Operation, wea re able to use locally slavaged hardwoods to make gorgeous custom pieces that have a look and feel that you will NOT find anywhere else!

Don't know Where to Start?

Look Ma! We're in the News!
“M2 Furniture Co. began with a hands-on childhood and a passion for creativity. Founder Matt Morgan grew up rebuilding cars and launching homemade rockets — projects that sparked a love for craftsmanship and laid the foundation for a purpose-driven career. After earning an engineering degree, Matt turned his focus to woodworking. In 2018, he purchased a sawmill, followed by a vacuum kiln two years later, bringing the entire process from tree to table all in-house. What began in a modest shed has grown into a full-service furniture company known for intentional design and heirloom-quality pieces.“No two boards are alike,” Matt says. “Every piece tells a story.” That belief is reflected in M2’s custom creations, which often start with a client’s rough idea and evolve into functional art. Each piece honors the natural beauty of wood, from grain to texture. For Matt, the goal is more than just beautiful furniture — it’s building with meaning, serving the community and creating space for his team and family. M2 Furniture Co. crafts each piece with care, turning raw materials into timeless treasures. -Upstate Business Journal
The Design and Build Process...
Step 1: Free Consultation
Step 1: Free Consultation
If you aren’t 100% sure about the style of furniture you want, the size of table you need, or the type of wood that would look best in your space—don’t worry, that’s exactly what we’re here for.
Whether you’re trying to figure out how a piece should be built to fit your room just right, how many people you need to seat, or how to blend new furniture with what you already have, we’ll help you make those decisions with confidence.
We’re the furniture experts—this is what we do every day. We encourage you to check out the resources and examples on our website for inspiration, but you can also reach out directly to us for one-on-one help.
You can:
- Call us for a quick chat,
- Schedule a Google Meet consultation, or
- Visit our showroom in person.
These details are important—they’re what determine how we’ll design, price, and plan your custom project. Once we’ve nailed down your goals, we can move on to Step 2: creating your personalized design and estimate.
Step 2: Design and Estimate
Step 2: Design and Estimate
Once we’ve talked through your goals and ideas, the next step is to design your piece and provide an accurate estimate.
If you’re coming up with something completely new, we’ll start by discussing your budget and timeline first. This is an important part of making sure we’re the right fit for each other, and that what we create together will align with your expectations—both creatively and financially.
After that, we’ll move into the design phase. Our team will create a 3D rendering along with 2D drawings for you to review. This lets you see exactly what we plan to build before a single piece of wood is cut. It also gives you confidence that the finished product will be exactly what you envisioned.
Of course, if you already found a design you love on our website, you can skip this step entirely. We’ve curated a collection of our favorite pieces, complete with photos, specs, and pricing in a range of sizes—making it easy to choose and customize a design that fits your space perfectly.
Step 3: Building and waiting..
Step 3: Building and waiting..
Once we’ve finalized a design that you love, the next step is to approve your quote and place a deposit. This deposit covers the cost of materials and a portion of labor so we can officially schedule your project for production.
We like to be transparent about our timelines—our lead times do vary depending on how busy we are. We do our best to keep them under 12 weeks, but this can fluctuate throughout the year based on seasonal demand.
To be clear: it doesn’t take 12 weeks to build a table. The majority of that time is simply waiting your turn in line as we finish up other customers’ projects. Once we start building your piece, it usually takes only 2–3 weeks to complete, depending on the complexity and size of your order.
If you ever have questions about where your project stands in the queue or want to get an updated estimate on lead time, just reach out—we’re always happy to keep you in the loop.
Step 4. Delivery and Joy
Step 4. Delivery and Joy
Once your custom piece is complete, it’s time for the best part—getting it home.
You’re welcome to pick up your furniture directly from our shop if you’d like to save on delivery costs. Many of our pieces are thoughtfully designed to disassemble easily for safe and simple transport, then reassemble once inside your home.
If you prefer a hassle-free experience, we also offer white glove delivery service. We’ll bring your furniture right to your door, place it exactly where you want it, and make sure it’s assembled perfectly. We’ll even walk you through how everything fits together, so there’s no stress or guesswork.
Plus, by letting us handle delivery, you avoid the risk of damage during transport and can rest easy knowing your furniture is in expert hands from start to finish.
